Terms of use
These are the terms for using Idavoll, at idavoll.app, made by Sikchi TechTonic Private Limited, a company registered in India. By using Idavoll you agree to them.
Who can join
You must be 18 or over, and you confirm it when you sign up.
Your account
You sign in with Google; Apple will follow. We keep the identifier Google gives us for your account, never a password, and we do not link accounts by email address. Keep your Google account safe: what happens under your Idavoll account is yours.
Your content
What you write and add stays yours. So that we can run Idavoll, you give us a licence to store it, check it, show it to other members as the app describes, and make the versions the app needs, such as a blurred copy of a photo. An Event you add is written into a clean listing; its times and its link stay as you gave them.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except that copies in backups expire within 30 days.
What is not allowed
- Spam, scams, selling and advertising.
- Harassment, threats, hate and abuse.
- Sexual content, and anything involving minors.
- Pretending to be someone you are not, or being under 18.
- Publishing other people's private information.
- Scraping, automated access, or interfering with the service.
- Anything illegal.
Ordinary talk is fine. Swearing, nightlife, drinks and dating are never a problem.
Moderation and suspension
Public contributions are checked once by an automated system. Content it is unsure about stays up and is looked at by a person. Content it is certain is spam, a scam, selling or abuse is hidden at once and looked at by a person, who can bring it back. Chats are never checked; a report is the only way a chat reaches staff.
We may remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. A suspended person cannot sign in, but can still delete their account.
Plus
Plus is earned: by contributing in your city, or with a month for each person you invite who signs up. It is not for sale today. If paid Plus arrives later, it will be bought through the app stores, and their terms will govern the purchase.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time, from Settings or at idavoll.app/account-deletion. This erases your account and personal data. Other members keep their own messages in the chats you shared, and copies in backups expire within 30 days.
Disclaimers and liability
Idavoll is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes, and we do not verify who anyone is. Events come from members and from public listings; check the details with the organiser before you go. Meeting people is your decision. Take the care you would take anywhere else.
As far as the law allows, Sikchi TechTonic Private Limited is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of Idavoll, from what other members do, or from anything that happens at an Event or a Hangout. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may change these terms. The date at the foot of this page says when they last changed. If you keep using Idavoll after a change, you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
